Anne van Amerongen
Anne van Amerongen (1995) is a Dutch soprano. She graduated with a 9.5 cum laude from the Conservatory of Amsterdam in 2023. Anne studied with Sajsa Hunnego and was coached by Mirsa Adami, David Bollen and Maurice Lammerts van Bueren.
Anne sang the role of Erste Dame in Mozart’s die Zauberflöte in a production of Dutch National Opera Academy in collaboration with Residentie Orkest. She also sang the role of Lucy in Menotti’s comic opera The Telephone and Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas.
Besides opera, Anne has a great love for classical Broadway repertoire. With pianist Maurice Lammerts van Bueren, she created a storytelling recital around the works of Kurt Weill, Hanns Eisler and Leonard Bernstein, amongst others.
Before starting her conservatory studies, Anne sang in the Dutch National Choirs for almost ten years. There, she worked with renowned orchestras such as Berliner Philharmonic and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Anne regularly performed as a choir soloist in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. A highlight with the National Choirs was a performance as a soloist at Dutch National Remembrance Day, live broadcast on national tv and attended by the Dutch royal family and government officials.
